Hello parents & guardians! We are so glad you are interested in enrolling your child in Fortress’s programs! Use the links below to begin the enrollment process, or scroll down to learn more about our programs, hours of operations, and eligibility requirements.

Are you already a Fortress family?

Before re-registering, ensure that you have met the re-registration qualifications, including the parent hours and student attendance threshold. Please note: Returning families are only guaranteed a spot in our programs during our early registration period.

You must re-register using the same email address and account that you originally registered under. If you cannot remember the email address you originally used, contact one of our parent coordinators or directors for assistance.

Are you a new family?

Please note that we reserve 70% of our available enrollment spots for families who qualify for and are receiving CCMS, the state child care subsidy. The remaining 30% of spots are available for families whose tuition helps sustain our mission of “building bridges from poverty to promise”. Either way, we are so happy to have you!

Note: After School enrollment is limited to children who attend Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary.

Preschool Information

Fortress Preschool serves children ages 6 weeks through 4 years. Fortress preschool students participate in both teacher- and child-directed activities which strengthen fine and gross motor skills, introduce early language and literacy skills, and promote healthy emotional and self-regulation skills. Our goal is to prepare our youngest students to become lifelong learners with bright futures.

Fortress Preschool is open year-round, Monday-Thursday.
Read more about it here.

After School INFORMATION

Fortress After School serves students in PreK3 through 3rd grade who are enrolled at Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary School and who receive CCMS and/or who have a sibling enrolled in Fortress Preschool. We provide homework help, reading intervention, and mentor-led activities that help students discover interests, hone existing talents, and develop new skills.

Fortress After School operates each Monday-Thursday in conjunction with the Fort Worth ISD school year calendar.
Read more about it here.

Summer Information

Fortress Summer serves children in grades Pre3-5th. We provide ongoing academic and social-emotional support that bridges learning from one school year to the next, with an emphasis on faith formation and Bible stories. The summer program features weekly field trips, visiting youth mission groups from all Christian denominations, and a week at sleepaway camp for ages 8 and up.

Our summer program operates Monday-Thursday from 8:00am-2:00pm, typically with 4 weeks in June, a break for the week of Independence Day (July 4th), and then another 4 weeks. Read more about it here.

Re-Enrollment Eligibility & Wait List Information

Fortress programs are free to all families who qualify for and receive CCMS, however, we do require that students are in attendance for 75% of program days and that parents complete 12 parent engagement hours during the school year. Students and families who do not meet these requirements will not be allowed to re-enroll in our programs.

New families are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If no spots are available, families are placed on the waiting list. Families are contacted when a spot becomes available. New enrollees are accepted throughout the school year, from August-May. Students who are on the wait list in May are given first priority for enrollment for the next school year. If you are on the waiting list and need to update your contact information, you can login to your account at www.myprocare.com or contact Fortress.

Fortress does not discriminate in regards to services provided on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or religion. We are a faith-based organization practicing and teaching Christian beliefs. Click here to read our guiding faith values and beliefs. Students and families are not required to share or espouse these beliefs.
