Jhala Criss, LMSW, MPA

Jhala Criss is a licensed social worker currently residing in Mansfield, Texas. Jhala, a TCU graduate, was a Summer JAM intern in 2012 where she discovered her love for Fortress, non-profits, and serving others. She continued to serve at Fortress for years as an employee and mentor, and even helped organize an event with the TCU social work program, the TCU football team, and the Tarrant Area Food Bank to give some of our Fortress kids a tour of the campus, meet the football team, and provide a box of food for everyone to take back home to their families.

Jhala went on to receive a double master’s in social work and public administration at UT Arlington. Currently, Jhala works at a local hospital as the Behavioral Health Team Lead. Jhala is new to the Board, having joined in 2019.
