Sean Ruff

Sean and Cassie Ruff have believed in the Fortress mission and supported us for years. When introduced to Fortress in 2017, Sean quickly saw many similarities between the lives of Fortress kids and his own childhood. He and Cassie recognized that if he’d had access as a child to programs like those Fortress offers, Sean could have seen more success and fewer struggles in adulthood.

Today, Sean works in construction sales for Mobile Modular. With his entrepreneurial spirit and over 15 years experience in direct sales, Sean makes meaningful contributions to Fortress’s fundraising efforts, especially when it comes to new marketing and donor relations initiatives. Along with their three-year-old son, Morgan, he and Cassie enjoy visiting grandparents, trips to the zoo, and swimming in the community pool.

When asked what moved him to join the board of directors at Fortress, Sean said, “We recognize that change doesn’t happen overnight and that continued and consistent support – whether it is financial, emotional, or physical – will always be more effective to facilitating lasting change. Fortress is not a handout, it’s a helping hand. We give families information and support they need to better themselves and have the confidence to make healthy emotional and financial choices for themselves and their children.”
