WHAT TO EXPECT
The first step of our screening process involves a 15-30 minute interview with a member of our administrative team, typically the position’s supervisor. This is the first of three interview steps that individuals must complete to be considered for a position. Those three steps are:
Phone (screening) interview — Conducted by phone by a member of staff. Typically lasts 15-30 minutes. All candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for an open position are invited for a phone interview.
Second (full) interview — Conducted in-person or by Zoom by the position’s supervisor. Typically lasts 1-2 hours, depending on the position and skills assessment. Candidates who pass the screening process are invited for the second interview. Prior to completing the second interview, most candidates are asked to complete a MinistrySafe training and test and a skills assessment.
Third interview (meet & greet) — Conducted in-person with a group of Fortress stakeholders (typically fellow staff members at the peer and supervisor level). Typically lasts 1- 1 1/2 hours. Candidates who are being seriously considered as a finalist for the position are invited to the meet & greet.
